ANNA WEIS

Anna Weis is a freelance producer. She most recently worked as a producer and AD on the indie feature film, Off to the Races, starring Miranda Rae Hart, Lucas Aurelio, and Scott Cohen. OTTR is currently in post-production.

Anna got her start in the Chicago improv scene, where she solidified her comedic voice and built her unique point of view and aesthetic. Her innate sense of how to keep engaging storytelling at the center of her projects made her a highly sought-after producer in the Los Angeles comedy community.

She has produced shows at The Elysian Theater, Largo, Dynasty Typewriter, Bell House, iO Chicago, and Union Hall. She also produces Yeehaw!, an annual benefit variety show hosted by Caleb Hearon & Waxahatchee at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City. 

 

In 2023, she directed 6 episodes of the web series Long Lost starring Taylor Ortega, Vinny Thomas, Michael Hitchcock, and more. That same year, she produced and directed Holmes's completely improvised proof of concept, Sorry I Love You. 

 

Anna is passionate about character-led stories, highlighting queer voices, and using the tools of improvisation in all of her work.
